In Child of Teuva, Anni Korpi Putikka tells of her growing up years in Finland, her marriage and move to the United States, and her everyday life in a series of autobiographical essays. These stories were originally written in longhand for the Finnish-American journal New World Finn. They have been translated by Ivy Nevala and compiled by Anni's daughter, Arlene Putikka Tucker. Anni writes of her rural life and offers insights into education, harvesting, food preparation, crafts, healthy living, family life, and many other topics.
